GOODS REPLACEMENT AND RETURN POLICY
1. GENERAL INFORMATION – goods purchased at the Trakai Tourism Information Centre (hereinafter referred to as the Centre), located at Karaimų st. 41, Trakai, shall be returned and replaced in accordance with the provisions of Article 6.362 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania, and in accordance with the Government of the Republic of Lithuania’s Resolution of 11 June 2001 No. 697 “On the Approval of the Rules of Retail Trade”, and its amendments.
2. RETURN OF GOODS – the goods can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Returns shall be processed if the product meets the following requirements:
- It is returned in its original packaging with all labels;
- The product is unused and clean;
- It has not been reassembled and dismantled again.
- If a buyer changes his/her mind, he/she shall have the right to contact the Centre by e-mail trakaitic@trakai.lt or by telephone +370 528 51934. The Centre’s staff will help you resolve the situation and provide you with next steps. The claim must be submitted within 14 days of purchase. A GOODS RECEIPT FORM (Annex 1) shall be completed – the original, together with supporting documents, shall be recorded in the register of incoming documents and transferred to the Centre’s Financial Officer. A copy shall be given to the buyer.
3. PROOF OF PURCHASE – the buyer must provide proof that the goods were purchased at the Centre. Such evidence must include: a cash register receipt, a sales receipt, an invoice, a customer’s bank statement or any other document evidencing the purchase of goods at the Centre.
- GOODS THAT CANNOT BE RETURNED OR REPLACED:
- Goods for which the sealed protection of the packaging (e.g. vacuum packaging) is damaged;
- The product which was used;
- The consumer cannot provide proof that the product was purchased at the Centre;
- The product has been unpacked and is unsuitable for return for hygiene or health reasons:
* Batteries, electrical goods, e.g. souvenir clocks with batteries, etc.
* Cosmetics, perfumery, e.g. souvenir soaps, fragrances etc.
* Food, e.g. drinks, teas, honey, etc.
* Stationery, e.g. markers, paints, pens, etc.
* Toys and games, e.g. dolls, cards, puzzles, board games, etc.
5. REPLACEMENT OF GOODS
Goods shall be replaced if they meet the following criteria:
5.1. The product must not have been worn or otherwise used;
5.2. The product must be in its original packaging with labels;
5.3. A cashier’s receipt or other proof of purchase at the Centre is required;
5.4. Reimbursement of the prices of replacement goods:
5.4.1. If there is no price difference between the goods to be replaced, then are placement deed, Annex 2, must be completed. The original and supporting documents shall be recorded in the register of incoming documents and forwarded to the Centre’s financial officer. A copy shall be given to the buyer.
5.4.2. If an overpayment is to be made, a replacement of goods document, Annex 1, shall be completed and the amount of the overpayment shall be credited to the cash register in the section “OTHER”.
5.4.3. Where the price of the returned item is higher than the price of the product for which the buyer wishes to replace, a full refund will be made, with the difference to be refunded within 14 days.
